Description

COURSE OVERVIEW

We will be investigating aspects of the theme in relation to our environment at Préniac and using it as a springboard for developing your own visual imagery in mixed media stitched pieces.

Starting with a series of exercises to get images, colours shapes and textures flowing we will use paper, fabric, wire, paint glue and staplers with hand and machine stitch to establish a strong foundation for your work.

A variety of processes and  techniques will be offered as we work up our ideas and respond and record the place and we are in.

You will be encouraged to be expressive and experimental with materials and stitch and design. Two days at the end of the course will be dedicated to the development of your own body of work.

Group demonstrations, discussions and individual help and coaching will support your learning experience.
