Alun lives in the heart of famous Cahors wine region surrounded by vineyards and Orchards of Walnut and Plum Trees, especially grown for the Prunes.

Having travelled much of France and visited hundreds of vineyards Alun settled on Cahors in 2004 and have never regretted it.

In touring the Lot’s 224 vineyards in particular those of AOC registration Alun realised there was a massive amount to learn and share with interested parties.

Alun has a small area planted with Malbec and Merlot Vines to provide him with some of the insight to the difficulties of growing the right grapes and knowing the weather and the soil to achieve a taste to savour.

"I met up with Liz and Bill from Studio Preniac a few years ago and they asked me if I was interested in doing tours of the AOC Wines of the Lot Valley. So here I am ready with enough information to sink a battle ship".

The main theme is not to force you to the biggest or the best but to give you a cross section of Taste, Quality, Tannins, White, Rose, Red and Black Wines.

"Every time I visit a vineyard I learn something new so ever day is to live for!".
