Terms & Conditions:

When planning or booking your holiday it is often easy to overlook 'commonplace' details which are not part of your holiday experience. The information on the following pages is very important as it forms the basis of your agreement between you the client and us Studio Préniac Limited (Studio Préniac) and we ask you to read it carefully.

In particular, the Booking Conditions detail our responsibilities to you and yours to us and provide guidelines to cover circumstances which may arise.

When you sign the Booking Form or acknowledge agreement of our booking conditions as detailed on our website, you are confirming that you have read the Booking Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

1. Travel Insurance

It is strongly recommended you and your party arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy, this must include cancellation, repatriation, medical and personal cover and also full cover for the party's personal belongings, since these are not covered by Studio Préniac.

However you purchase your insurance you must satisfy yourself that the policy is adequate and appropriate for your needs, and in particular for any activities you are contemplating during your holiday.

In the event of a non-insurable cancellation, refunds of amount paid will be made if the Studio Préniac are able to re-let the holiday booked and any expenses or losses incurred doing so will be deducted from the refundable amount.

2. Booking Form

All bookings must be made on our Booking Form and signed by the party leader who must be over 18 years of age. For group bookings, there should be one single payment.

The party leader is responsible for making all payments due to Studio Préniac and guarantees payment of the full cost of the holiday for all those mentioned on the Booking Form and of others whom he or she may later add.

Once we have received your Booking Form and all appropriate deposits, we will confirm your holiday by issuing a confirmation letter.

3. Prices

The prices quoted on our website or in our publicity and promotional materials are correct at the time of publication. In the event of any changes in our prices to those stated we will notify you prior to accepting your booking.

Brochure Accuracy - Every care has been taken to ensure that the information in the brochure(s) is accurate at the time of printing, however, as a result of local conditions e.g. weather, time of year it may sometimes be necessary to change from the itinerary as advertised in our brochure(s) or website.

4. Price Guarantee

Whilst we reserve the right to change our prices your confirmation letter price is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to change.

5. Deposits

A non refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of the holiday per person is payable at the time of booking. Payment by direct bank transfer. We no longer accept cheques. In the case of group bookings, there should be one single payment.

6. Balance

The balance of the holiday cost is payable 8 weeks before departure or full payment if booking within 9 weeks of departure. If we do not receive all payments due in full by this date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you.

7. Amendments by You

If you wish to make amendments to your booking after the contract is formed, we will do our best to arrange this. Amendments requested within eight weeks of departure may result in cancellation charges as laid out below.

8. Cancellation by You

You or any member of your party may cancel your holiday at any time providing that the cancellation is made in writing by the person signing the booking form. Cancellation charges will be calculated from the date of receipt of the written (email or post) cancellation.

Charges will be made as follows:

Cancellation by you more than 8 weeks before departure will result in loss of deposit unless we can re-sell the holiday.

Cancellation 6-8 weeks before departure will result in loss of 50% of the cost of the holiday.

Cancellation 4-6 weeks before departure will result in loss of 75% of the cost of the holiday.

Cancellation up to 4 weeks before departure will result in the loss of 100% of the cost of the holiday.

We reserve the right to re-sell any part of a cancelled holiday and this does not affect our right to levy the 10% cancellation fees.

9. Amendments by Studio Préniac

We will do our utmost to deliver the holiday which we are contracted to provide you. As our holidays are booked months in advance, we may occasionally have to make changes and reserve the right to do so at any time.

If we do alter your holiday in any way, we will inform you of the alteration as soon as possible. In the event of a major change we will offer you the choice of; agreeing to the changes and accepting their impact; cancel your holiday and receive a full refund of monies paid by you to us.

10. Cancellation by Studio Préniac

It is unlikely that Studio Préniac will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements. However, we do plan the arrangements many months in advance and occasionally, therefore, it may be necessary to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and Studio Préniac will advise you of them.

It is therefore, in the unlikely event of cancellation by Studio Préniac, that adequate travel insurance is purchased to cover the cost of travel arrangments (flights or ferry etc) already made, as these costs are not covered by Studio Préniac.

If through circumstances beyond our control Studio Préniac is forced to cancel your booking all monies paid to us will be returned in full.

Circumstances beyond our control do not include unforeseen events such as war or threat of war, riot, terrorism, natural disasters, fire, industrial disputes, technical problems or accidents with airports or transport, adverse weather conditions or governmental action.

11. Guided/Workshop Holidays

On a guided or a workshop holiday it is necessary that you abide by the authority of the leader who represents Studio Préniac. Signing our booking form signifies your agreement to this.

If you are affected by any condition, medical or otherwise, that might affect your or other people's enjoyment of the holiday; you must advise us of this at the time of booking.

If a client is unable or does not choose to complete an itinerary outlined for a holiday, Studio Préniac is not liable to supply alterative itineraries, excursions, accommodations, services or staff for the period when the client is not present with the group, however, where possible, an alternative itinerary may be provided.

12. Promotional Material

Studio Préniac reserve the right to use any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our holidays without charge in all media for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes, including without limitation promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, slides and the internet.

13. Other Groups

Studio Préniac reserve the right to have other parties staying in or on the property unless the whole Préniac site is taken by your party.

14. Behaviour

The client must undertake to behave in such a manner as not to disrupt the enjoyment of other guests staying on the site, or prejudice the reputation of Studio Préniac with our customers, its suppliers, staff or local residents. The holiday of any client or party in breach of this clause may be terminated immediately and without compensation and Studio Préniac will have no further contractual obligations to them.

Clients shall indemnify Studio Préniac in respect of all and any claims made against Studio Préniac as a result of damage caused to the property or any of its contents. All losses, damages and breakages whether accidental or deliberate, will be charged to the client and must be paid for before departure from the property.

15. Holiday Cottage (Gîte) Rental

The rental period shall commence at 4pm on the first day and finish at 10am on the last day. The owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.

The maximum number of persons to reside in the Holiday Cottage (Gîte) shall be agreed at the time of booking and will be confirmed on the booking form.

Any change to the number of persons MUST be agreed with Studio Préniac prior to the commencement of the rental period.

The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take care of the Gîte and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Studio Préniac reserves the right to make retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the Gîte in an unacceptable condition.

The Client also agrees not to act in any way, which would cause a disturbance to those residents in neighbouring Gîte.

The Client shall report to Studio Préniac without delay any defects in the Gîte or breakdown in equipment or appliances in the Gîtes, garden, or swimming pool and arrange for the repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.

Studio Préniac shall not be liable to the Client:

  • For any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of the public services to the Gîte, nor respect of any equipment or appliances in the Gîte, grounds and swimming pool.

  • For any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes, or other matters beyond the control of the Owners.

  • For any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused or suffered by the Client if the Gîte shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the Studio Préniac shall within 7 days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

16. Security Deposit

Studio Préniac reserves the right to levy a security deposit for Holiday Cottage (Gîte) rental of £200 (€250) in case of, for example, damage to the for Holiday Cottage (Gîte) or its contents.

However the sum reserved shall not limit the Client's liability to Studio Préniac, in the event that the cost of replacement or repair in respect of damage occasioned exceeds £200 (€250).

Studio Préniac will account to the Client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within one week of the end of the rental period; providing nothing is damaged, the security deposit or balance will be returned by direct bank transfer or cheque.

17. Swimming Pool and Parkland

The use of the accommodation and amenities such as the swimming pool, barbecues or parkland is entirely at the Client's risk and no responsibility can be accepted by the Owners for any injury or loss or damage to the Client or his/her visitors or their belongings.

No glasses are permitted by the poolside. Please use the plastic ones provided in each Gîte for this purpose.

The swimming pool, although fenced and alarmed, is unsupervised. Children MUST be supervised when using the swimming pool at all times. The Owners reserve the right to ask unsupervised children to leave the pool area at any time.

Please remember this is a rural area and that Studio Préniac cannot be held responsible for any indigenous animals or insects that may be present.

Under no circumstances shall Studio Préniac's liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Studio Préniac for the rental period.

18. Complaints

If you have a complaint or problem with your holiday we would ask you to discuss this with us whilst you are here, in the first instance, and we will try to resolve any problems immediately.

19. Services provided by Third Parties

Bookings for extra services such as taxis, extra activities made on your behalf by Studio Préniac are subject to the terms and conditions laid down by the service provider. Studio Préniac does not warrant the standard of performance of any additional services. You take full responsibility for satisfying yourself in advance as to the quality and provider ability to deliver the services and will address any complaints about the extra services with the respective provider(s) directly.

20. Passports, Visas and Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport and all necessary travel and health documents before departure.

Information on health is contained in the Department of Health leaflet T6 (Health Advice for Travellers) available from most post offices.

21. Website Content

Studio Préniac makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained on our website and in any publicity material we write. However, content is subject to change from time to time.

Studio Préniac will endeavour to notify you of any changes known to us affecting your holiday prior to issuing you with our booking confirmation.

Studio Préniac is not responsible for the content, policies and services of any sites linked to or accessible via our website.

22. Limitation of Liability

Studio Préniac accepts responsibility for the services we have contracted to provide. If you suffer personal injury or death from any activity which is not part of your holiday booked with us, but occurs during the holiday we will not be liable for any compensation.

Studio Préniac accepts no responsibility for the acts or omissions of its clients whether negligent or otherwise and shall not be held liable for any claims made against its clients either by other clients of Studio Préniac or third parties.

23. Data Protection

All personal data provided to Studio Préniac will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of the 1998 Data Protection Act. We will keep your personal data safe and secure.

We will not share it with other organisations without your knowledge and consent, unless required by law to do so.
