Our week long fully catered textile holidays offer a range of courses designed to develop your skills, confidence and expertise. Guests are taught in the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of Preniac in our spacious studio barn and on occasion, venture out on location for inspiration to the nearby historic towns and villages with their beautifully preserved medieval architecture, world heritage sites and vibrant markets.
Our textile holidays are suitable for all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or an accomplished textile artist. We offer a combination of structured teaching with demonstrations and one-to-one tuition, with both group and individual critiques. Our friendly and supportive tutors are highly qualified and experienced and will help you develop your own personal style.
We limit our group sizes to between 6-12, so our tutors always have time to give you individual attention.
We supply a range of textile media which includes all necessary paints, dyes and fabrics for each course, plus non consumables such as scissors, needles, pins etc. We also supply a range of threads, both hand and machine, but recommend that guests bring a small collection of threads for personal use as a supplement.
A range of art material is also available for guests to use including watercolour and acrylic paints and cartridge paper for design work.
We recommend that guests bring their own sketchbooks and small brushes.

Testimonials for Painting and Textile Holidays
"There is always a risk when choosing a holiday without recommendation
but I can honestly say that all our expectations were met and far exceeded by Liz and
Bill our hosts, for one of the best holidays we have ever had.
Liz, who provided superb tuition, listened carefully to what we wanted to achieve and set
tasks which gave opportunities to experience new areas of interest and build up our skill
levels in both painting and textiles.
Bill catered for our every need and provided what can only be described as a home
from home family atmosphere. Add to this the beautiful scenery of the Lot and I think
no one should fail to return home full of praise and admiration."
David and Stella M, Norwich.
"I had a fantastic time with you and wish to thank you for all
your generosity and hard work. I look forward to next year and hope that I can
come again."
Margaret H, Llangollen.
"Thank you both very much for looking after me so well, I
thoroughly enjoyed myself. You managed to get the balance just right, very
comfortable accommodation, stimulating tuition, excellent catering and knowledge of
the area. I will be checking your course dates for next year."
Pauline H, Suffolk.
"I would like to say a big thank you to you both for such a
wonderful experience. Many, many thanks."
K W, Cork.
"Just to say thank you for a wonderful break, it was just what I
needed. You looked after us so well, the food was superb, such an important part of
the holiday, (but I did gain 2lbs!). I really enjoyed the stitching and look forward
to next June. Many thanks again."
